Ambo|Anthos publishers is one of the leading publishing houses in the Netherlands. We focus on literary fiction from the Netherlands and abroad, literary thrillers and upmarket literary non-fiction on history, philosophy, psychology and society.

In our translated literary fiction list, we represent bestselling authors such as Eleanor Catton, Michael Chabon, Sally Rooney, Nicole Krauss, Per Olov Enquist, Milan Kundera, Tatiana de Rosnay and Jonathan Safran Foer. Amongst our Dutch writers you can find Anne-Gine Goemans, Auke Hulst, Murat Isik, Yvonne Keuls, and Josha Zwaan. In addition, Ambo|Anthos is the publisher of Herman Koch, famous for his international bestselling novel ‘The Dinner’, whose translation rights have been sold to more than 42 countries.

We represent some of Holland’s most popular literary thriller writers. This includes René Appel, Lieneke Dijkzeul, Marion Pauw, Elvin Post, Simone van der Vlugt, and Esther Verhoef. On our list of translated thriller authors you can find household names such as Nicci French, Riley Sager and BA Paris.
